The Research Engagement Network (REN) programme has
recruited over 70 Research Ready Community Champions
to engage with unrepresented communities across our
coastal communities.
Funded by NHS England, the VCSE
Collaborative has been coordinating the REN programme in
our region by working with the
following key partners to develop
research ready communities
across our coastal areas:
North Yorkshire: SeeChange, St
Catherine's Hospice
Hull and East Riding: Hey Smile,
Health Watch
North East Lincolnshire: Health
Gospel, Foresight and
Healthwatch North East
Lincolnshire.
The Community Champions have
now been trained and are
engaging directly with
unrepresented public and patient
groups within our coastal
communities; championing the
importance of being involved in
health and care research.
We'll be sharing more information
and community stories as the
programme develops. If you have
any questions about this
programme of work, please
